Rita Stern Milch is an exceptional artist whose work has been shown in galleries across the United States. She studied fine art at Yale University, and is also an accomplished Emmy award winning film producer. She is the wife of writer / producer David Milch and is a partner in Red Board Productions. Rita is also a co-founder of The MY HERO Project and has produced special programs for Jazz and Poetry month and The International Day of Peace for MY HERO.
This Giclee is inspired by her husband's journey into the unknown of dementia and is referred to in the NYT article and except from David Milch's biography, "Life Work" released by Random House in 2022.
“The book’s prologue was essentially transcribed verbatim, she said, including her father’s ethereal opening words: “I’m on a boat sailing to some island where I don’t know anybody. A boat someone is operating, and we aren’t in touch.”
