"George Floyd" - by Saint George

George Floyd was a Black American man who was killed during an arrest by Minneapolis police officers on May 25, 2020. The incident was captured on video and widely circulated on social media, sparking protests and demonstrations around the world against police brutality and systemic racism.

The killing of George Floyd has become a catalyst for a global movement for racial justice and police reform, and has led to widespread calls for change in law enforcement practices and policies. Floyd's death has also prompted discussions about systemic racism in other areas of society, including education, housing, and healthcare.

The artist Saint George's illustration series of people whose lives were cut short by police violence started with this George Floyd piece showcasing him as a father. Original size ~15"x20"

The winner of this auction will be able to order one high quality print framed or unframed at a size to be determined at the T Heritage Art Gallery in Santa Monica.  Costs for printing, framing and shipping to be the responsibility of the auction winner.
